Catchin' Up

Wow. End of February already. This post is intended to catch you up on some of the treehouse news that has happened and will happen in the near future. But i'm sure there will be more posting to follow with lots of things i will remember later.


Valentine's Day was a blast in the trees. We hosted a lovely cocktail party on Feb. 7th, and also kicked off our WINTER SALE that week. The sale is still in full swing so stop in to see all the coveted treasures that are now marked down! (hodgepodge hat above as modeled by treehouse's own lovely siri is now 25% off!!)

We are now carrying amazing body lotions and soy candles from Cottage Garden Therapies. " They are made with natural cleansing and moisture attracting locally wild harvested raw honey, nourishing goat's milk, and wild harvested beeswax. Most of their great scents are products of natural essential oil blends." We will be closed on Wednesday for the next 2 weeks, but open normal hours Thursday through Sunday (1-8pm). but if the gate is open, i may be poking around in the back doing inventory or something, so ring the bell i'll let you in, of course....>

pssst...SIRI is in Japaaaaan(!) She's scoping out new treehouse treasures as well as attending a wedding of a long-time friend. we'll miss her while she's gone, but await her fascinating updates from overseas....stay tuned for more!

we had so much fun this week pulling out all of our v-day treasures for you to peruse. for starters, our KEYCHAIN collection is ridiculously amazing, if we do say so ourselves! and yes, we do have UNICORNS for sale.

EMBROIDERY starts this Friday, 2/2!
From denim jackets to tea towels to plush pillows, embroidery is a dreamy way to personalize your stuff. Learn 12 classic embroidery stitches and you'll be off and running to custom-decorate everything you own! At the first class you will make a basic stitch sampler, and in the second, the lovely cal patch will guide you through planning and starting your own personal project. All supplies included for first class; you'll bring your own treasure to customize for the second. Stitch away!
$80 : Friday 2/2 and 2/9, 6:30-8:30pm


DECOUPAGE on Sunday, 2/4!
Take cut and paste to a whole new level…learn decoupage, the art of decorating a surface with shapes or pictures and then coating it with varnish or lacquer. Dari Litchman, handbag designer extraordinaire of Papi's Mami fame, will guide you down the same path that victorians and hippies took in days gone by. Raw wood picture frames will be provided, you just bring your sweet self, along with color copies of family photos, magazine cutouts, rhinestones, foreign language newspapers, old maps, old books you don’t mind cutting up, decorative papers, glitter, bits n pieces, whatever tickles your fancy! Even dimensional puffy paints are great for decoupage, and permanent markers in fun colors, stuff like that.
If you would like to decoupage something else, bring it along. Examples might be a hat box, light switch cover, plaque, photo/storage box, wooden stool, etc. We just ask that if you bring something with you, please make sure you have already prepped it by lightly sanding and painting it. We’ll supply the basic materials, you bring the dream.
$40 including materials fee: Sunday, 2/4, 2-5pm
