i know it's been ages and ages since we wrote,

but we hope you'll forgive us especially

because we have such exciting news

*Our friends The Tall Firs have asked to come play an intimate concert at treehouse THIS FRIDAY before they hit the road with The Neutral Milk Hotel. Here's the info in their words:

That's right folks, this is the shit. Your favorite maudlin duo crooning away at your favorite boutique and neighborhood hub, The Treehouse! They go together like vinegar and oil, like peanut butter and jelly, like some fries with that shake baby! Siri and Dave are gonna put together light fare (snacks) and cocktails (booze in the lower mid range) for your comfort and joy along with the loving atmosphere you expect from a good old fashioned Treehouse get together. Then later, the Tall Firs will play a set that will do it's damn-est not to harsh your mellow while still delivering their trademark emotional gravity. Then we'll drink more. Kids are welcome. As little Milo Mullan can attest to, the Tall Firs loose harmonies have a bewildering effect on the infantile. TAKING OVER TREEHOUSE!!!!!

ok, breathe...it's only for 3 months, silly!...;)

it's called a pop-up, or a takeover,

or whatever. these ladies rule and are gonna give tree a lil spring cleaning and a well needed breath of fresh air. and awesome new and vintage wares. and fresh ideas and and and...I can't wait! they're calling their store-within-a-store:
